Key Terms: Dry, Sweet, and Fruity

We’ll be covering nine key terms during this course. The first three are foundational: dry, sweet, and fruity.

These are misunderstood by many wine drinkers, but the explanations are simple and once you understand these terms then wine communication becomes easier and more clear.

This is important, for what we are learning is how to communicate with others about aroma and taste (which together make flavor). If you know how to ask more accurately for the wines you seek, your batting average will go up.
