Intro to week two: terroir focus and red wines

This week’s focus will be red wines, how they differ from white wines, the three key grape varieties (Pinot Noir, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon) plus discussion on terroir and the question “what makes a great wine?”

All of this builds upon what you learned last week.

The project at the end of week two is all about grape variety analysis, deep diving into one grape in particular, but don’t hesitate to do last week’s project (science of taste) with these red wines as well.
