Colli Berici DOC
The Colli Berici is a large area growing mostly French red varietals. Go figure.
It’s not easy (though not impossible) to find these wines in the United States, but for the most part they are consumed right in this region (in the cities of Vicenza and Venice), where they are poured everywhere by the glass.
There are some amazing wines here, including that Carménerè by Stefano Inama.
