Bardolino DOC, Bardolino Classico DOC, Bardolino Superiore DOCG

I’m honest when I say this: I really don’t buy or seek out much Bardolino.

It’s not that there aren’t good ones out there, but the truth is that Bardolino wines tend to be simple and light. Higher quality is found in Bardolino Classico and even more so those labeled Superiore (higher alcohol and more aging), but even then I rarely come across one that I wouldn’t trade in for a Valpolicella, made from the same grapes.
